This title is a quick-reference guide, not a complete discography.
It includes only master numbers (and takes, in the case of remake
sessions), recording locations, and recording dates.
Master Recording Dates: The Electrical Era begins with the
adoption of electrical recording in early 1925, and continues through
the company's sale to the American Record Corporation in mid-1934.
More than 15,000 individual master numbers are covered, including
commercial 10" and 12" master numbers in the following
historical introduction and summary of noncommercial and special-use
matrix series. To preserve the integrity of the original data, this
guide contains no speculative or undocumented material
from previously published works.
